Alamo Car Rental Orlando
Alamo Rent a Car started in 1974 with four locations in Florida, pioneering the concept of Unlimited Free Mileage. Immediately carving its niche in the leisure car rental industry, Alamo focused its mission on providing a fun, low-cost, high-value rental experience to family and leisure travelers.

Alamo quickly became one of the country's largest vacation rental providers with programs to accommodate and encourage leisure travel. To facilitate the increase in leisure travelers, Alamo constructed state-of-the art rental plazas geared to serve hundreds of customers per hour in a modern, ultra-spacious environment. The first rental plaza opened in Tampa, Fla., in 1982, with more following in other major leisure destinations including Orlando, Fla., home of the world's largest rental facility. In 1985, Alamo introduced a new customized rental agreement the size of an airline ticket, and Instant Alamo, a program that stored a traveler's individual rental information for instant reference.

On April 19, 1990, Alamo set out to revolutionize collision damage waivers with the introduction of the first-ever price and coverage option for all renters. Alamo created three new consumer-driven optional collision damage waiver products in Florida, named Waiver Savers®, which provided customers with three choices of price and coverage options tailored to their needs. To meet the needs of the "Web" consumer, Alamo became the first car rental company with real-time booking capabilities on the Internet in 1995. Customers could visit Alamo.com to find locations, view rates and select their vehicle. Soon, Alamo.com expanded to include a membership-services section and travel tools to find the weather, driving directions and fun activities for children to enjoy on their road trip.

Alamo's commitment to the leisure travel market has fostered longstanding partnerships with the airline industry, travel destinations, travel agents and tour operators around the world. In 1998, Alamo launched E-Process 2000, a group of technologically enhanced initiatives for tour operators, including electronic reservation links on the company's web site, voucher-less rental processing and electronic billing. In 2002, Alamo announced a partnership with Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort, making Alamo the official rental car company of the most frequented tourist attractions in North America.

In its nearly 30 year history, the Alamo Rent A Car brand has continued to serve family and leisure travelers with fun, friendly service and low-cost, high value vehicles. Today, Alamo operates through a network of more than 1200 locations throughout the United States, Canada, Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean.

AVIS CAR RENTAL ORLANDO
Founded in 1946 by Warren Avis (who sold his interest in 1954), Avis was the first company to rent cars from airport locations. The company grew rapidly during the 1950’s through franchised and corporate-owned expansion. In 1963, Avis introduced the award winning “We try harder®” campaign and the tagline remains the company’s rallying cry even today. Ten years later, Avis launched its innovative Wizard reservation system, the company’s cornerstone technology. On the corporate front, Avis changed ownership multiple times in the 70’s and 80’s, becoming employee-owned in 1987. That same year, Avis introduced the Roving Rapid Return, a handheld computer terminal allowing customers to bypass the Avis counter. Two years later, the company launched Avis Cares® to increase renter and employee safety. In 1996, HFS Incorporated acquired Avis and then spun off as a separate public company all but the franchising rights, Wizard system, and reservation operations. Over the next four years, Avis Group Holdings purchased several franchised regions and acquired PHH Vehicle Management and Wright Express. In 2000, the company introduced Avis Interactive, the first Internet-based reporting system in the car rental industry. In March 2001, Cendant purchased all of the outstanding shares of Avis Group Holdings and later that year moved its world headquarters to Parsippany, NJ. In August 2002, Avis became the first rental car company to offer seamless connectivity with all four major GDS systems.

National Car Rental Orlando
National Car Rental has been an industry pacesetter throughout its 56-year history. National was formed on August 27, 1947, as a group of 24 independent car rental operators with 60 locations and 800 cars Orlando. They incorporated as a for-profit corporation in 1959 and quickly established an identity as "the best in localized, personal service."

Over the years, National would go on to pioneer many industry features to improve the rental experience for their customers. In 1954, they became the first car rental brand to offer one-way rentals for those wishing to rent cars in one town and leave them in another. In 1966, National equipped its regional reservation offices with the "Telemax" computer system, officially becoming the first cars Orlando rental company to bring computers into daily reservation operations. After airline industry deregulation in 1976, National opened its doors to the new wave of leisure travelers when it became the first to offer flat rates to car renters.

As National continued to grow and evolve, so too did its identity. While being one of the earliest companies to initiate corporate account business in the late '70s, the 1980s and beyond for National can be characterized by its commitment to the corporate traveler. In 1987, National introduced the industry's first, comprehensive frequent-renter program, "Emerald Club", along with the "Paperless Express Rental Agreement," which made car rental faster by using information stored in the computer to process the whole transaction in seconds. National continued to develop ways to make the car rental process more efficient to time-sensitive business travelers. Innovations such as the "Emerald Aisle," where members select their own cars and are on their way without filling out any paperwork, allowed members to completely bypass the rental counter. Later, the "Choice Rental Process" would give all National customers the ability to choose their own vehicle. Keeping in tune with the needs of the growing population of small business owners, National started "QuickRent" service in 2002, which offered customers, who were not enrolled in Emerald Club, the ability to bypass the counter when they complete their rental transaction online.

Through tremendous growth, organizational changes and new travel industry innovations, National has remained a leader in both business and leisure rentals. Today, the National Car Rental brand is one of the world's largest rental car companies and serves the most popular domestic and international travel destinations through a network of more than 2,000 locations in the United States, Canada, Europe, Latin America, the Caribbean, Asia-Pacific, Africa and Australia.

Enterprise Car Rental Orlando
It all started in the lower level of a car dealership. My father, Enterprise founder Jack Taylor, looked around his small office one day and saw a handful of co-workers fielding phone calls, calculating rates and washing cars. But he saw something else, too: people doing ordinary, everyday things with extraordinary passion and focus, going well beyond their own jobs to get the whole job done right.

Those people believed in Jack’s vision and made it their own, and that day was the start of something big. All of our phenomenal growth and success over the ensuing decades is based on Jack’s simple philosophy: “Take care of your customers and employees first…and profits will follow.”

This philosophy and our unique business model have made Enterprise the largest rental car company in North America - but our goal has never been to be the biggest car rental company, just the best.

No matter how large or successful we become, our success will always depend on the individual managers and employees with the will and drive to be the best. Their stories define who we are, and each begins with the vision of one man and the unique team of entrepreneurs who wrote the first chapter.
