Welcome to the Island HideawayReporter

We want to congratulate the winner of our grand prize drawing for August. Mr. Jim Swenson will stay in our resort for FREE for 5 days and 4 nights in a spacious 2 Bedroom Villa.

A lot has changed recently to the resort and to what amenities we offer. Based on the results derived from surveys of our travel customers, we have added the following offerings to make Island Hideaway the leading lodging choice of family vacationers visiting the Orlando, Florida area. As always, we strive to offer the best vacation villas and rooms with luxury resort amenities near Walt Disney World.

Our surveys revealed that our customers are typically Internet saavy and wanted to access the Internet from multiple locations around the resort.

In addition, we are proud to announce that we now have a unique resort amenity - wireless Internet access at the large swimming pool, Tiki Bar -CLOSED and the new meeting room. If you have a laptop and a wireless connection, you can log on FREE at the Island Hideaway and stay in touch with family and friends.

Many of our early bird customers wanted earlier restaurant hours and access to Starbucks Coffee and we of course delivered that as well. Opening at 7:00AM sharp and providing delicious Starbucks coffee and various other breakfast items from warm breakfast of eggs and pancakes to cold cereal and fruit.

Other customers preferred a wider variety of meals when relaxing by the swimming pool and we delivered by greatly expanding our menu to include fresh Mahi Mahi and numerous other delicious meals that you can order either inside the restaurant, by the pool or from the comforts of your vacation villa or room.

Some families wanted more activities for their children while the parents were relaxing inside their vacation villas. We currently provide basketball, tennis, swimming pool, so we delivered by expanding the number of games in our video game room.

Families relaxing after a long day at Walt Disney World requested that we expand the number of services available in our spa area and we delivered. We now offer a full service spa providing various types of massages, facials, hair treatments and more.

Many customers that were booking their lodging with us, wanted to have the ability to book discounted airfare and discounted car rental in the same transaction. We delivered by partnering with www.airdepartment.com. We found their discounted prices REALLY are discounted especially compared to the major travel portals.

We also had a select group that wanted a referral program and multiple discounts for multiple visits and of course we delivered. We now provide 10% discount off any referral from one of our customers and 10% discount off the next visit to Island Hideaway.

Families who utlilze the resort for family reunions required more space to conduct family meetings, so we delivered by expanding the number of meeting rooms and providing Internet access too.

As an additional BONUS, we now offer discount Disney tickets, other Orlando attractions and dinner shows from Dixie Stampede to Sleuths Mystery Dinner.

Our goal is and has always been to listen to the customer and DELIVER quality lodging and amenities for families at the right price. We will continue to follow our mission and will always listen to our traveling customers for ways to improve both our luxury resort, vacation villas and rooms.

Hurricane Outcome
Hurricane Charley hit Orlando, Florida and the surrounding cities very hard. We were fortunate in that no damage was sustained at the Island Hideaway.
